Premieres for The Two Towers have been scheduled for New York, Paris, London, Los Angeles, Copenhagen, Seattle,Toronto, Wellington and Sydney in December. Dates are as follows:
5 December - New York
10 December - Paris
11 December - London
15 December - Los Angeles and Copenhagen (which the Queen of Denmark will attend!)

Troy and Pirates Movie News

Dark Horizons report on The Pirates of the Carribean, along with this image of one of the movie ships. "The filming that was taking place on the boat at the time of the picture being taken of it was young Will (Orlando Bloom's character) is found floating in the ocean amoungst reckage of another ship and is rescued. The ship itself is basically a floating bardge, tugboats have to pull it away from the dock and out to sea and back again. The reason it has large sections missing is to accomidate the camera's/equiptment being braught on board. It's complete with a "rest area" set(a section where the navel officers would go and sleep). But the cast and crew used it - extras basically got paid for 2 days to sleep on set in a hammock."

Orlando Set to Star in Troy

If the stories are correct, Orlando has just signed to star in "Troy", based on "The Iliad", the classic epic by Homer. He'll star alongside Brad Pitt, Cate Blanchett and Eric Bana, as Paris, the Trojan who elopes with Helen. Apparently, they were "looking for someone who is a bit of a charmer, but also has that dark edge to his personality", which of course fits Orlando perfectly ;-) Read this People Magazine article for more.
