Hundreds Flock to Crowe Casting Call

"The chance to appear for a fleeting moment in a Cameron Crowe (news) film generated enough buzz to attract hundreds to a recent casting call in Kentucky.
"As many as 1,300 people showed up at a Lexington hotel Saturday in hopes of landing roles as extras in Crowe's new movie, Elizabethtown, starring Orlando Bloom and Kirsten Dunst." More...

Elizabethtown Shooting Locations

From ComingSoon: "Scenes for a major motion picture written and directed by Cameron Crowe — the man who brought Jerry Maguire, Vanilla Sky and Almost Famous to theaters — might be filmed in Versailles and Lexington, as well as other Kentucky locations.
Dan Gorman, a location scout for Paramount Pictures, confirmed yesterday that he has visited Versailles and Lexington as possible sites for shooting the movie with the working title Elizabethtown. But he couldn't say whether those cities will actually be used as locations." More...

ROTK Tops DVD Sales

Not surprisingly, The Return of the King went straight to top position last week in DVD sales charts, after it's first week of release. Over 6.3 million DVD/VHS copies were sold, and an excess of $10 million was made in rentals in the first week alone.
