And the Bond Rumours Continue...

With Pierce Brosnan stating earlier this week he was done with being Bond, the rumours have really come out in full force, as to who will take his place. Not the least of these, was that Orlando had already been signed by Miramax, to star in a 'Young Bond' series. Looks like this is nothing more than a rumour however, and what's more, a new name has been thrown in the mix. More...

ROTK EE Scene Additions

As we know, the ROTK EE was previewed at ComicCon over the weekend. TORn have one and two reports, and AICN also have a brief list of what we can expect to see on the DVD, which will be out in December. War of the Ring also have this clip from the EE. Warning: Spoilers!

ROTK EE Art and Statue

The art and statue of Minas Tirith was shown at ComicCon, being held this weekend. From TORn: "Fresh from the live web cam (Sideshow) at comic con 2004, here are pics of the ROTK box set and the included Sideshow/Weta statue which is Minas Tirith. It opens up and stuff can be stored inside. The companion piece (which you can only buy if you purchase the gift set) is Minas Morgul, also shown." View the pics here.

I haven't been around able to update for a bit, so here is a very brief wrap up of the main things that have happened the past couple of weeks:
Elizabethtown: Alec Baldwin, Gaillard Sartain and Bruce McGill have both joined the cast. Baldwin will play the Phil, the boss of Orlando's character and McGill will play Bill Banyon, a charlatan.
LOTR: The Return of the King: DarkHorizons reports the three Extended Editions will be distributed to select theatres in October this year, ahead of the DVD release in December.
Pirates of the Caribbean 2 & 3: AICN reports the Pacific Film and Television Commission (Australia) is planning on putting large amounts of money into attracting the next two Pirates movies to Queensland to shoot.
The Hobbit: The latest is, Peter Jackson may yet be able to make a movie of The Hobbit, if Time Warner can purchase the rights...More...
ROTK EE Presentation at Comic Con

TORn reported a rumour from one of their Ringers, that The Return of the King Extended Edition may be shown for the first time, at Comic Con in San Diego, which will be held on Friday, 23 July. Comic Con have denied the rumours, stating a presentation of the EE will be shown instead by New Line. Ah well, wishful thinking! Report from TORn... and Update from AICN...
