Swedish Actor Joins Pirates Cast

From Joanna: Swedish actor Stellan Skarsgård is going to play Orlando (Will Turners's) dad in the two new pirates movies and Rolling Stones' gitarrplayer Keith Richards is going to play Johnny Depp's (Captain Jack Sparrow's) dad, I don't know if he is going to play in the second, third or both.

Orlando to Present at Oscars

Thanks to Arielle: Orlando Bloom has been added to the list of presenters at this years Oscars. He was also a presenter at the Golden Globes for the movie the Aviator, and was seen chatting with old friend Johnny Depp at a Miramax after party.

Pirates Sequals

From MTV: Producer Jerry Bruckheimer is negotiating with Geoffrey Rush to star in a third "Pirates of the Caribbean" movie. "That's if there is a third one," Bruckheimer said. "We're hoping to start shooting [the second and third movies] in March, but we're waiting for a very big check from Disney." Bruckheimer said talk of Keith Richards playing Johnny Depp's father is premature, although Depp, Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley are all signed on to return, along with the director and writers from "Curse of the Black Pearl."

From ComingSoon: Hong Kong's Chow Yun-fat is set to star in the upcoming sequels of Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, says Chinese-language newspaper Apple Daily. Chow's wife, Jasmin Chan Wui-nin, said the actor will play the famous 19th century Chinese pirate Cheung Po Tsai for the second and third installments of the film. Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom, and Keira Knightley are expected to return in their roles. More...
