ROTK Takes out SAG Award

The Return of the King took out the award for Best Cast Ensemble at the Screen Actors' Guild Awards in the ceremony held last night. The award was accepted by Billy Boyd, Sean Astin, Bernard Hill and John Rhys-Davies.
ROTK Reaches $1Billion Mark

The Return of the King has made over one billion dollars worldwide, making it the second highest grossing film ever.
BAFTA Awards

The Return of the King took home a total of five awards at the BAFTA's on Sunday; Best Film, Adapted Screenplay, Cinematography, Achievement in Special Visual Effects and Orange Film of the Year.

30th Annual Saturn Awards

Nominations have been announced for this year's Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films awards, to be held on 5 May. The Return of the King was nominated for Best Fantasy Film, Best Director and Best Writing, whilst Viggo Mortensen and Elijah Wood were nominated for Best Actor, both for ROTK. Johnny Depp also recived a Best Actor nomination for his performance as Captain Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean.
