Ned Kelly Director Gregor Jordan's answers to fan's email questions have now been posted up at the Official Movie Site.
Q. What made you choose Orlando Bloom for the role of Joe Byrne, given he was relatively unknown at the time?
Gregor: Orlando did the best audition. We looked all over the world for that role and Orlando walked in and nailed his audition and got the job. Simple as that.

Release dates for the TTT DVD and have been confirmed, with the Theatrical Edition DVD out 26 August, and the Extended out 18 November. Read full report at TORn.
LotR Nominated for Five MTV Movie Awards

MTV have just released the nominations for this years MTV Movie Awards (held on 31 May, and broadcast in the US on 5 June). The Two Towers picked up five nominations, for Best Action Sequence (Battle of Helms Deep), Best On Screen Team (Elijah Wood, Sean Astin and Gollum), Best Male Performance (Viggo Mortensen), Best Movie and Best Virtual Performance (Gollum). Diane Kruger Cast as Helen in Troy

Diane Kruger has officially been cast for the role of Helen in Troy.
"Diane is not only a stunning beauty but a gifted actress with tremendous emotional depth and presence," said Wolfgang Petersen. "The role of Helen is charged with the grandeur of history and legend. I am confident that Diane has the charisma and artistry that this compelling character demands. The addition of Diane to this production completes our major casting. We are all very pleased to welcome her to our cast as we begin the exciting challenge of filming this movie in the weeks ahead."
In other Troy news, filming is due to start in London on 22 April. Additional filming will also take place in Malta and Mexico.
