Diane Kruger Interview
9 May 2004
CHUD are currently featuring an interview with Diane Kruger, who plays Helen in Troy.
I love Orlando, he’s such a really good guy. I felt close to him because in a way we have a similar starting out thing going... I was a little intimidated – not intimidated, but worried that because I only had five or six films that I wasn’t as strong a performer, just because I didn’t have the experience of the rest of the cast. He’s the same and he’s very young and new at this, and we felt like we were in the same boat so we tried to help each other out..." Read more...

Troy Script Review
14 April 2003
CHUD.com have posted a review of the Troy script.

In Paris, Orlando Bloom has a role that is light years away from his Legolas character. The younger, impulse driven prince (and younger brother to Hector) is a role that on the page is one that'll require tons of charisma as well as a considerable amount of humbleness... Read full review.

"Diane is not only a stunning beauty but a gifted actress with tremendous emotional depth and presence," said Wolfgang Petersen. "The role of Helen is charged with the grandeur of history and legend. Troy - David Benioff Interview
21 March 2003
The BBC Online have posted up an interview with David Benioff, who wrote the script for Troy. "Troy" is an adaptation of the Trojan War myth in its entirety, not The Iliad alone... This is a massive story that we're trying to tell in two-and-a-half hours. The narrative is crammed with some of literature's most intriguing characters: Achilles, Hector, Helen, Paris, Priam, Odysseus, Agamemnon, Patroclus, etc. All these characters have to emerge on screen as fully realized human beings. The battle scenes have to mirror the epic confrontations Homer described. The journey of the thousand ships from Greece to Troy has to be depicted. Everything takes times, and we're not making a twelve-hour miniseries. We're not making a trilogy of three-hour movies." Read the full article.

Sean Bean in Troy?
5 February 2003
Sean Bean was doing an interview on The Jonothan Ross Show on BBC Radio 2 last Saturday, and stated he has just been cast to star alongside Orlando in Troy, aparently as Odysseus. "I may be starting this film called Troy, which is about the Trojan War... The Greeks. That's going to be starting in April... It's classic, Brad Pitt is playing Achilles and I may be playing Odysseus. It's quite a good story, it's a Warner Bros story and a big budget film." This is still to be confirmed.
